A while back, I hung out with my boss and his son and I got to take some pictures of him. We had a great time and Deacon is just so fun to watch.

Whew!

Well, we've made it to Arizona! The past two weeks have been intense (unless you compare it to the Landers;)) We've gone from some DEEP spring cleaning, to a roadtrip to Ohio, to our first wedding gig, to saying goodbye to some dear friends(they're moving), to this weekends wedding and all that goes along with it. As we get a little air, we are reminded of so many great memories here. And the heat, at least today, hasn't put us out. Here's to sun, sunglasses, and some great people!

Dave and Lauren

One of the great things about getting into photography and working at a college is, there always seems to be couples getting engaged. Dave and Lauren have been dating forever and they finally got engaged this past year. They both served as RAs at Geneva and have ambitious goals for their future. Joanna wasn't able to join me on this shoot, but I really enjoyed hanging out with Dave and Lauren. Congrats guys and thanks for Chipotle!

SIDE NOTE: A long while back my stepmom and dad purchased this sweet editing software (showit effects) as a heartfelt gesture of support for my photography. Long story short, I haven't been able to use until this shoot, but I'm super excited about the results. Maybe I'll put a before and after shot up later, but for now, thank you Dad and Ally for all your encouragement. I've never lacked it.

He's the real deal!

Taylor and I just got home from Taylor's first "professional" wedding photography gig. Can I just say our feet are so sore....somehow we need to make tennis shoes fashionable for the next wedding. Can I also just say that Taylor is amazing!!! You would think he has been doing this for years. He has such a way with people that makes them feel comfortable and he has an eye for capturing the beauty of the moment. I can't wait to share some of the photos. But for now, we are going to rest our weary bodies.

The Day of Greatest Joy!

WOW! Today has been a whirlwind of goodtimes, good people, and good news. Joanna and I are at Cederville University at the ACSD conference. We had a great 4 hour van ride with our friends the Kirkseys, Sarah Dompier, Rob Rostoni, and my boss Paul. I'm pretty sure we laughed the whole time. Once we arrived, we met up with the Jensens (Toby's Parents) who we hadn't been able to spend much time with lately. It was great to see them...Toby keeps growing up. But wait, the joy doesn't end there. There are several of the greatest people here from Grand Canyon Univ. and Phoenix. You know, they're the kind of people who just do your soul good to be with them. Ah, and it's so good to see them too! On top of that, we just found out that two different couples, both of whom we care about dearly, are pregnant! Want more? Our neice and nephew(twins adopted from Sierra Leone) are safe in the arms of their parents. They are beginning to know the love that will envelope them for the rest of their lives! And they're coming home soon! Do you hear that? There's angels singing as the sun is setting and Joanna and I can't get these smiles off our faces. It's the day of greatest joy!
