My Girls
We live across the nation...Washington, Oregon, Colorado, and Pennsylvania. None of us went to the same college, we haven't all lived in the same city since High School. But God has given us the precious gift of friendship that continues to grow in spite of distance. I am amazed by these woman. They encourage and challenge me. They have loved me unconditionally. Though it sounds cliche, I am a better person because of them. Thank you girls....I love you!

A White Christmas
Back to 20 degrees and it's beautiful. We flew into Denver last night and found ourselves in the middle of a White Christmas. I love the snow...it causes you to make a choice...you can either get stressed and be in a funk or you can let the snow slow life down and give you a chance to inhale peace. We did our best to choose the latter. We spent evening at the Armstrong house, opening gifts and eating breakfast for dinner. When we returned to our bed at the Lorenzen House, the Landers family had safely arrived and were soundly asleep. We had a great time in Arizona and it was too short as usual. I'm sure this time here in Colorado will fly by just as fast, but you know pictures are to come! Merry Christmas All - The Spragues

20 to 60 degrees
Headed off to make the holiday rounds. First stop Phoenix, then Yuma, then Colorado. So excited to see friends and family. And to catch up on restaurants that we have been missing. There are sure to be pictures to follow.

Rain, Rams, and Remarkable Beauty
I love hunting. Ever since I was quite young, I can remember treading through canvases of dessert and being in places one doesn't go unless chasing the inhabitants of those beautiful paintings. Sunrises and sunsets, clouds and clear, I've seen landscape hard to put into pictures. All the while, I have got to spend time with God and good men...times I'll never forget. None were more memorable than this past...a perfect hunt! Here's a glimpse...

Home Safe
My husband is home from hunting! I'm so glad he is back. I know it is pathetic, but I kinda wonder around aimlessly when he is gone. Don't worry, I'm sure he will post pictures of the hunt soon. I know you can't wait:)

The Plan
Yesterday, I successfully cleaned our apartment, but did not work on my papers at all. So this morning, I am headed to Panera with my friend Sarah to do homework. The rules are that we can't small talk (which may be difficult for us). I have to bring a friend along when I go somewhere to study, because I always have to go to the bathroom and need someone to watch my stuff:) Wish us luck.

Update
Taylor safely arrived in Arizona. I am all alone this weekend :(, with big plans of finishing two papers for school.
I had my first intramural b-ball game tonight. We won 68-16! I know we are amazing. Actually, I don't think any girl on the other team had played before. But I realized that I don't mind exercise when I don't realize I'm exercising:) So I need to find a way to play basketball year round.

Sorry
Once again we need to apologize for the lack of blogging. Here are some quick updates:
*We sent all the boys home for Thanksgiving, it was so quiet.
*We spent our quite Thanksgiving vacation painting the lounge (pictures to come)
*Thanksgiving day we had the opportunity to serve at a local rescue mission
*The day after Thanksgiving, we had the traditional meal with several of our friends who are our family out here. I was in charge of decorations, no cooking this year.
*We officially our the proud aunt and uncle of Zeke and Kora, can't wait till they can come home. So excited that we get to share memories of Sierra Leone with Jody and Andy.
*Taylor leaves on Thursday to go on a once and a lifetime hunt with his dad (Taylor is not the hunter, just an extra set of eyes).
*I will spend the weekend on two major papers for my classes. Stressing out a lot more than I should.
We are anxious for Christmas vacation.

What's more Fall than...
...picking your own apples? Fall's colors painted the hills around us as Joanna and I picked and plucked Melrose and Yellow Delicious until our arms could barely hold the bushel. One of the great things we get to experience here in PA. Lots of pics...
An added benefit of picking apples is all the DELICIOUS desserts your wife makes with those apples!
