Update

Taylor safely arrived in Arizona. I am all alone this weekend :(, with big plans of finishing two papers for school. I had my first intramural b-ball game tonight. We won 68-16! I know we are amazing. Actually, I don't think any girl on the other team had played before. But I realized that I don't mind exercise when I don't realize I'm exercising:) So I need to find a way to play basketball year round.

Sorry

Once again we need to apologize for the lack of blogging. Here are some quick updates: *We sent all the boys home for Thanksgiving, it was so quiet. *We spent our quite Thanksgiving vacation painting the lounge (pictures to come) *Thanksgiving day we had the opportunity to serve at a local rescue mission *The day after Thanksgiving, we had the traditional meal with several of our friends who are our family out here. I was in charge of decorations, no cooking this year. *We officially our the proud aunt and uncle of Zeke and Kora, can't wait till they can come home. So excited that we get to share memories of Sierra Leone with Jody and Andy. *Taylor leaves on Thursday to go on a once and a lifetime hunt with his dad (Taylor is not the hunter, just an extra set of eyes). *I will spend the weekend on two major papers for my classes. Stressing out a lot more than I should. We are anxious for Christmas vacation.

What's more Fall than...

...picking your own apples? Fall's colors painted the hills around us as Joanna and I picked and plucked Melrose and Yellow Delicious until our arms could barely hold the bushel. One of the great things we get to experience here in PA. Lots of pics...

An added benefit of picking apples is all the DELICIOUS desserts your wife makes with those apples!

The Way to my Heart

Taylor knows the way to my heart.... ....flowers and celebrity gossip. Thanks Taylor!

So our Cousin Wes got a head start on us and may be a little more psycho about it, but it's officially "Holiday Season". Joanna came home and announced the famed red cups had arrived and it's Christmas in every Starbucks. Happy Holidays!

Playing Catch Up

Back when Joanna went to Iowa, there were a couple of things I did to pass the time.
A Tyrone Wells Concert...We made it a freshman program and brought 35 students with us! He was as good as he always is.
Ryan Deitle, one of the guys who lived in Pearce last year, got engaged. Him and Erin let me use them as my first Geneva couple to photograph
ok...now you're pretty much caught up:)

Fall

These pictures do not do it just. It has been stunning! Unfortunately, the leaves are starting to fall. I wish these colors would stay a bit longer.

It's the Little Things

When you don't have kids, its the little things that make for an interesting blog. I have never burned a candle from top to bottom, till now. When you live in a dorm of stinky boys, you seem to always need a candle burning. So here is a picture of my fully used candle. Now aren't you excited to know that:)

A Care Package…

…Sprague Style! Today, I got a care package from my Dad. What was in it? Three different flashlights and replacement batteries for one I already had. All I did was mention the batteries were out in mine and He was all over helping me out with it. You always take care of us Dad…Thanks!

Home

I arrived home safely to my husband at 2am. Happy to be with him again. Realizing that I am not quite myself without him. Thankful for the opportunity to hang out with my nephews. I pray that in some small way I can be a part of 'romancing' their hearts. I hope that one day they know that their Aunt Joanna really loves them. And I am always amazed watching Jody and Andy, and I am challenged by their desire to not live safe, but with reckless abandon. I'm off to go watch Ellie, a little easier to handle than four boys:)

Uncle Taylor's Idea

Shaving Cream Tag---would have been a great idea if I had someone to help me clean up afterwards.

Don't Worry Jody

Your boys are in great hands!
